PANDORA FAQ's

FAQ - Frequently asked Questions

Can I swim wearing my PANDORA Jewellery?

It is not recommended that you wear your PANDORA jewellery in salt or chlorinated water. The surface will become dull.

How do I care for my beautiful PANDORA jewellery?

Add a drop of dishwashing liquid to lukewarm water and clean the jewellery with a small, soft toothbrush. The toothbrush is an excellent tool for jewellery that has grooved or raised patterns that may be difficult to clean. If a piece of jewellery is dirty, leave it in lukewarm water to soak for 10 minutes with a drop of dishwashing liquid. Rinse thoroughly with water, then dry with a polishing cloth.

PLEASE NOTE: Pearls should not be submerged into water or come into contact with cleaning agents. Pearls should only be cleaned with a soft brush or a cloth.

DO NOT expose PANDORA jewellery to harsh chemicals as this can alter the appearance of your jewellery.

In addition to the above, a PANDORA cleaning cloth may be very useful, as it freshens up your jewellery if the surface becomes dull.

Is PANDORA jewellery covered by a guarantee?

PANDORA jewellery items are covered under a 1-year PANDORA quality guarantee, unless otherwise stated. PANDORA is happy to repair or exchange any items that are deemed faulty within this 1-year period. Manufacturer defects include clasp defects, loose bracelet threads and missing gemstones. General wear and tear on a bracelet and improper cleaning are not covered by the warranty.

Proof of purchase is required upon return of any faulty goods.

Oxidised bracelets and beads are specially treated to give them the dark appearance. The oxidisation does wear off gradually as bracelets are worn, exposed to water and the natural oils in the skin. Please be aware that this is not a defect and therefore this is not covered by the guarantee.

With Murano glass charms, wood charms, leather jewellery (the leather part of the jewellery) and Fabric strings, the warranty for manufacturing faults is valid for 30 days after purchase.

Is the guarantee still valid if I have copy brands on my PANDORA bracelet?

The above guarantee is deemed void if alternative brands are placed on PANDORA bracelets and necklaces. The PANDORA bracelet, for example, is specially designed to hold PANDORA beads and a number of alternate brands are too heavy for the chains. We also find that some other brands become caught on our chains or bracelets as the “screw on” mechanism is not as fine. Therefore, we would suggest that only PANDORA items are placed on our chains

How often does PANDORA release new jewellery?

A new jewellery collection is released every spring and autumn. We do release other collections such as the recent hit, Liquid Silver and LovePods in yellow in white gold.

Is there a PANDORA “signature” to prove that my jewellery is a true PANDORA?

Most PANDORA jewellery items are now marked with the letters ‘ALE’ followed by 925ss on silver items and the numbers 585 on gold items.

What sizes are PANDORA rings available in?

PANDORA complementary rings are available in 1.0 increments from size 50 European to size 60 inclusive. Your jeweller will be able to assist you with correct sizing for all of our rings.

What bracelet sizes are available?

Bracelets are available in sizes 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 23cm. Bracelet lengths are measured from end to end including the clasp.

What makes PANDORA Jewellery so unique?

   1. The clasp on the PANDORA bracelet appears as a bead when closed, creating a seamless effect, which is integrated into the bracelet.

   2. The beads are screwed on to the bracelet, for security as well as aesthetics. When the bracelet is unclasped the beads will not fall off.

   3. The PANDORA bracelet is divided into three sections which can be separated by fixed beads. This allows beads to be evenly distributed around the bracelet.

   4. The PANDORA jewellery concept allows one to choose either sterling silver, oxidised (darker) silver, gold, or a combination of gold and silver, which creates very different looks - all of them classic and elegant and individual.

   5. The PANDORA bracelet has a fully coordinated range of matching jewellery. The beads are a part of matching stories, which include necklaces, rings and earrings.

   6. PANDORA is a well established international brand with approximately 85% of the market share, in countries where it is available.
